“We call on the National Assembly for Wales to urge the Welsh Government to provide a pathway here in Wales to ensure families who unexpectedly lose their child or young adult aged 25 years and under get the support they require.”

Thank you very much for your email regarding our petition, dated the 6^th November, and for including Vaughan Gething’s response to our petition.

I understand the petition will be considered at your next meeting on Tuesday 19 November 2019 along with the document provided by The Minister.

For 2 Wish Upon A Star to comment in full we would appreciate it if our full response could be delayed until after the Bereavement Review has been completed and shared. We feel to write a detailed response by next Wednesday, without the completed review to reflect on, would be very difficult.

As you can see from the letter received in September, assurances have been given by Vaughan Gething about the importance of this review. I believe it is therefore, difficult for us to respond to the Minister’s letter while the review remains unpublished.

We hope the Petition Committee understand this decision and we look forward to receiving the review and its findings. We can then take time to respond accordingly to the Committee.
